  • [Barrett Ruud] Ruud plans: The 2011 season didn’t exactly go as planned for veteran linebacker Barrett Ruud.
    After signing a one-year, $4 million contract, he dealt with shoulder and groin injuries, played in only nine games and wound up on injured reserve.
    He had surgery on the shoulder after the season and is currently rehabbing. The former Buccaneer plans to play next season, though the Titans are not expected to re-sign him.
    Asked if he’s considered retirement, Ruud texted: “Absolutely not true.”
